• ALISON BROWN YOGA PHILOSOPHY:

    There are many wonderful ways to exercise the body. Yoga, however, is unique. It is a spiral path. One can enter at any point along this path. Maybe it’s a physical interest, improved health, flexibility, balance, or strength. It could be stress reduction, peace of mind, clarity or focus. It could be to increase awareness, to get to know the Self, or to find center.

     

  • You may decide to practice for one reason and find other areas of your life begin to improve, simply and gracefully. This is the beauty and magic of this spiral system.

    Yoga is the perfect practice for this crazy, busy world we inhabit. It works simply and efficiently. Few other technologies can offer such a complete and proven whole person approach.

    Yoga is holographic. It begins with the breath. Conscious breathing is the key to the whole process. Breath, or prana, as it is called in yoga, is life-force energy, vitality, aliveness. As we learn to breathe more fully and deeply, something happens. Our connection to nurturing source begins to open and we experience more joy, feel more empowered.

    For me, yoga is really all about alignment with source and embodiment i.e. bringing conscious awareness into the body. This is furthered through breath, yoga asana and body-based meditation.
